Yummiest Banana Bread!

The girls and I made this DELISH banana bread the other day, and I wanted to share the recipe on here for you to make too! It’s soo good! I had never made banana bread before, and this recipe is super easy for a newbie like me:) This recipe can make two loaves of bread, or one large loaf. Feel free to substitute ingredients that you may not currently have, as well! I didn’t have any buttermilk on hand, so I used whole milk instead. I also used 3 mushed bananas instead of 2, and olive oil instead of vegetable! It came out wonderful!

Happy baking!

Banana Bread:

Dry Ingredients:
1 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
2 eggs
2 medium sized ripe bananas (the squishier and blacker, the better!)
1/2 cup vegetable oil (I used olive)
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts- fold in

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 325. Grease bread pans (I used butter)
2. Combine and mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl
3. Mush up bananas with a fork in a separate bowl. Combine and mix mashed up bananas, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla extract in a large bowl
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients in one large bowl
5. Fold in chopped walnuts
6. Pour batter into greased bread pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes

Now sit down with a hot cup of coffee and a large gooey slice of banana bread, and enjoy this amazing treat you just made!! 🙂

Let me know if you try it! Do you have a favorite bread recipe?! I’d love to hear!

I love a good banana bread. I found a similar recipe but I’m going to have to try this one.
If you don’t have buttermilk, you can use regular milk and vinegar.
